On 8th of July 2008 in Kutaisi University of Law and Economics guested representatives from Belgium: Marina Gurbo – O
SCE-High Commissioner on National Minorities/Education Policy Expert/Expert of Riga Consultancy Center and Eric Vercammen-Professor of Mechelen/Project Coordinator. Also, Our university has visited Giorgi Amariani-Main Program Specialist of Ministry of Georgia of Education and Sciences.
Rector of The University, Mrs. Professor Lela Kelbakiani met the honorary guests. Rector introduced them priorities of Georgian Education reforms. She talked about changes of university among the reforms and future development. She said that she is happy to take part in EU-Education program “Tempus IV”, which name is Innovative Curriculum Reform as System Enhancement – Increase. The work experience of KSEU staff members in this project will be important and helpful for the University professors and teachers to develop new curriculum, and staff members to find and develop new projects. Mrs. Lela Kelbakiani looked forward for future collaboration with universities, which are participating in this project.
Mrs. Marina Gurbo talk about EU-union Education Policy, EU education commission’s projects importance and parts, which does these projects to educate and closeness European people. She is happy, that she invitee in this project as an expert and she will does everything for project success.
Mr. Eric Vercammen talked about Belgium Education System. He introdiued project history and shortly said about members of consortium. Mr. Vercammen said that he will work hardly and will does everything for project success.
After meeting guests had visited historical places of Kutaisi.
